So, my friend Rosie had decided that she had to go to a place called the Rabbit Cafe, which as the name suggests, is a cafe full of rabbits. To say I wasn’t keen is an understatement, but eventually, I caved and found myself in a taxi, heading all the way out to Lad Prao, with my friends Rosie and Craig.
Needless to say, after an hour and a half of sitting in traffic, the cab driver couldn’t locate this mystery bunny cafe, so we decided to get out and find it ourselves. To cut a long story short, we didn’t spot the cafe, but as I was throwing a tantrum like I usually do when I’m hungry, the guys thought it would be best to feed me to shut me up.
The first place we stumbled across could not have been better! If you follow my blog, then you’ll know how much I love noodle soup (especially boat noodles), so taking me to a noodle soup shop is generally a safe bet. What I wasn’t expecting from this random soup shop, was some of the best boat noodles I’ve had in Bangkok.

I ordered the boat noodles ‘
I don’t care too much for the processed meatballs that come in most Thai boat noodles. If you don’t either, be sure to say ”Mai ow look chin’ (I don’t want meatballs).

I don’t think the staff are too used to seeing foreigners in here; they were all very interested in us. They’re all very friendly in there, and I did my best to have a conversation with the owner in my pigeon Thai! There’s not much English spoken here, so there was a lot of hand movements!

In fact, the owner is so nice, she even brought us over a free bowl of green curry chicken with rice noodles. These were a welcome addition to the table for sure! We’d already made our way through all the packets of cap moo (fried pork skin), that were on the table, so we left well and truly stuffed. The bill for all three of us was under 200 baht!

So, if you live in Lad Prao, or if you’re nearby, or if you absolutely love boat noodles and don’t mind a mission, then I would definitely recommend Boat Noodles Ladprao 101.
