CURRY NOODLES and Northern Thai Food at Khao Soi Mae Sariang Bangkok

Khao Soi Mae Sariang at Wongwian Yai (ข้าวซอยแม่สะเรียง @วงเวียนใหญ่) serves up some fantastic khao soi and other Northern Thai dishes, which can be a rarity in Bangkok.

This little shophouse restaurant is a welcome addition to the already amazing local food scene around the Wongwian Yai / Lat Ya Road area, which is around the corner from the new ICON SIAM shopping mall.

Pork and Chicken Khao Soi (egg noodles in a coconut based curry sauce) and excellent Khanom Jeen Nam Ngiow (Northern Thai pork rib and tomato stew) are all that’s on the menu here, plus a few specials, depending on what day it is. luckily for me it’s Wednesday so it’s Gaeng Hang Lay day! (Northern Thai pork belly curry with ginger).

The Thonburi area of Bangkok is my favourite places to eat traditional Thai food in the city. Get away from The Sukhumvit Road and come and check out some amazing local food. If you are a fan of Northern Thai dishes, Mae Sariang should be very high on your list of places to try in Bangkok.
